Abstract: Since all the highly active drugs that can slow down HIV/AIDS progression and prolong life are very expensive, and while we await new research works that are geared towards the prevention of new infection, there is need to help PLWHAs to live longer and better lives. To this end, good nutrition remains the best strategy to add more years to PLWHAs especially in poor and developing countries like Nigeria. The ability to see the potential benefits of good nutrition and thus, their adoption in our communities will go a long way to add more years to the lives of PLWHAs. This paper highlighted the essence of good nutrition and how it could promote longevity of PLWHAs.
